Energy Use Intensity (EUI) measures the energy use per square foot per year of a building. EUI is like the miles per gallon of a car, but applied to energy use in buildings. By accounting for the impact of weather variations each year, median weather normalized site EUI enables us to measure changes in the median energy use of Saint Paul’s large buildings year to year.
